MSHP: Single vehicle wreck injures 3, including pre-teen

PRINCETON, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a single vehicle wrecked injured three people, including a pre-teen.

The Patrol says 26-year-old Justin Sharp of Mercer was driving a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee on 136 Highway, six miles west of Princeton.

Authorities say at 8:50 p.m. Monday, near Highway D, the Jeep ran off the road, overturned and struck several trees before coming to a rest.

Sharp suffered moderate injuries, 24-year-old Kayla Brown of Mercer suffered serious injuries and unidentified 12-year-old from Excelsior Springs suffered moderate injuries.

All three were taken to the Harrison County Community Hospital. The pre-teen was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.
